There are two services you'll need for a working site - a domain name plus a website hosting plan for it. When you type the domain address in your Internet browser, you see the content that’s uploaded inside the web hosting account, but if that domain isn't linked to such an account or to an e-mail service, it's parked. To put it differently, the domain name is registered and you're its owner, but it does not have any content of its own. Instead, it can open either a pre-made “Under Construction / For Sale” webpage from the registrar company, or it may be forwarded to any other URL of your choice. The main advantage of parking a domain address is that you can keep it and be sure that nobody else will take it. In the meantime, it's not going to occupy a slot for a hosted domain name in your account. You can also park domains if you have a .com, for example, and you register domains with other extensions like .net, .org or country-code ones to forward them to the main site in order to protect a brand name.
Parked Domains in Shared Hosting
You will be able to park as many domains as you would like with any of the shared hosting
plans which we provide. Naturally, this feature is available just for domain addresses registered with us as the service is always provided only by the registrar. Unlike most companies, we do not charge anything additional for parking a domain address and the process takes only a couple of clicks in your Hepsia Control Panel. We also have a number of parking templates to select from where you can add custom text. If you choose to host a parked domain in the future, adding it to your account requires simply a mouse click. Everything essential for the website to start showing up, such as creating a domain folder and creating DNS records will be done automatically by our system. Our feature-rich Domain Manager tool will allow you to view a full list of the domain addresses that you've registered through our company and you will be able to set a filter to view only the parked or only the hosted ones.
Parked Domains in Semi-dedicated Hosting
If you buy a semi-dedicated server
plan from our company, you are going to be able to register and park as many domain names as you wish. Different to other companies, we are not going to charge you an additional fee for this feature. You'll be able to park a domain address with just a couple of clicks through the Domain Manager tool, that you can access through the Hepsia web hosting Control Panel. If you want to use a template, you'll have a few different ones to pick from and you will be able to add custom text to each of them. The feature-rich Domain Manager enables you to set filters to see only the hosted or only the parked domain addresses in your account. With the same instrument, you can also un-park a domain and host it within your account with a click. Our system will change the name servers of the domain name and will create its folder in the File Manager section, and the needed DNS records for it, automatically.
